Οχυρωμένος αττικός δήμος σε βραχώδη χερσόνησο, βορειοανατολικά του Μαραθώνα. Το ιερό της Νέμεσης, 600 μ. νότια, έχει μικρό πώρινο ναό (τέλη 6ου αι. π.Χ.) και μεγάλο ναό (460–420 π.Χ.). Η ακρόπολη σε λόφο 28 μ. με καλοδιατηρημένη πύλη.
