Acropolis of Athens

The fortified limestone citadel above the city, carrying the Parthenon, Erechtheion, Temple of Athena Nike and Propylaea, most of them built in the second half of the 5th century BC. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and entry is by timed-slot ticket booked in advance through the Ministry of Culture's platform; the daily visitor number is capped.
