Antonis Tritsis Environmental Awareness Park

The largest park in Attica, in Ilion in the western suburbs, built on the former Pyrgos Vasilissis estate. Woodland, orchards and six interconnected artificial lakes and wetlands support well over 100 bird species, alongside paths, cycling routes and an environmental education centre. Visitor reviews consistently describe patchy maintenance and limited facilities; getting there means bus or car rather than metro.
