Attica Zoological Park

The only zoo in Greece, at Spata near the airport, roughly 20 km east of central Athens. It opened in 2000 as a bird park and now holds around 2,000 animals of some 400 species, with a bird collection its operators describe as among the largest anywhere. Open 365 days a year from 9am until sunset; tickets are sold on site and online.
