Follow the little signs up through Manolates' cobbled lanes and you come out high above the gorge, with the sea in the distance. The family-recipe moussaka is why people climb up, alongside goat, lemon chicken, rabbit stifado and fried courgette flowers. Vegetables come from their own garden, and the wine, tsipouro, ouzo and goat cheese are their own too.
