Vourliotes – Manolates circular trail

This is the classic walk of the northern mountains: from Vourliotes you drop into the Kakorema ravine, climb back out through vineyards and olive terraces, and arrive in Manolates. Both villages have tavernas, cafés and folk-art shops, so you can walk it without carrying lunch. It is at its best from October to December, when the colours turn. Note: the waymarking of route 25 has been badly damaged by vandalism and Samos Hikes advises avoiding the route until it is repaired — if you do go, carry a map and a GPS track.
