Stavrinides

Stavrinides was never dressed up for visitors, which is exactly the point. A few dozen people live here among vineyards and olive groves, in a settlement designated one of special natural beauty since 2002. Narrow alleys, painted doors, a marble fountain dated 1877 and a kafeneio or two where the day moves slowly. It makes a natural stop on the walk between Ampelos and Manolates, through the greenest corner of the island.
