At Votsalakia, on the long beach beneath Mount Kerkis, they hire four-person boats that need no licence, with fuel included in the price. There are also single, double and transparent kayaks, plus SUP boards by the hour. A boat gets you easily to the more remote beaches of the Marathokampos coast, such as Kaladakia with its two caves, which by land means a dirt track and a walk. From their second base at Mourtia, the Kasonisi lagoon is a fifteen-minute run.
