Samiopoula Day Boat Trip

Wooden caiques leave Pythagoreio harbour in the morning, around nine, for Samiopoula, the small island facing the south coast; the crossing takes about an hour and the boat anchors off its sandy bay. There are swimming stops along the way, and most cruises include a barbecue lunch - fish or meat - with Greek salad in the fare. You are back in port in the late afternoon. The boats are run by different owners, so the schedule, departure time and price vary from one caique to the next; you can also book on the spot along the quay.
