Folklore Museum of Pagondas

Put together by the Pagondas women's association Omonoia from objects donated by the villagers themselves. Collecting began in 1984 and the museum took over the old village school on the square; after renovation it reopened to the public in March 2008. Inside, an early twentieth-century Samian household is recreated: furniture, textiles, farm tools, storage jars and barrels, with the loom taking pride of place. Pair it with a coffee under the plane trees on the square.
