The newest winery on Samos, at Megali Lakka, Konteika, working organic Muscat with a view over western Samos.
About
First vintage 2023, run by Evmorfia Kostaki and Lorenz Immerfall five minutes south of Karlovasi and just 600 metres from Vakakis. Both hold postgraduate degrees in viticulture and oenology, and they work exclusively with Muscat a Petits Grains, white and black, from Evmorfia's family's certified organic vineyards. They make dry, rose, ancestral-method sparkling and amber wines with natural yeasts, hardly any oak and low alcohol. The building is modern and looks out over the green hills of western Samos. Visits are by appointment only.
