Eleven kilometres south-east of Vathy, Psili Ammos lives up to its name (fine sand) with soft golden sand and water that stays shallow for a good few metres. That makes it the first choice for families with small children, backed by plenty of sunbeds, umbrellas and tavernas. It gets very popular in summer: arrive early, because the parking area fills up and the access road is narrow.
