Potami Beach

This is Karlovasi's own beach: long, coarse pebbles, clean water and thick greenery reaching almost to the shoreline for shade. From one end the route heads up the river gorge to the Potami waterfalls and the small Byzantine chapel of the Metamorfosi tou Sotiros, so a swim and a short walk pair perfectly. There are canteens and tavernas nearby but the beach keeps its relaxed, local feel.
